Day 85 – 89 – York, The Course and My GrandadOctober 5th, 2013 by David
I had a great time in Ibiza seeing Jon & Holly getting married and catching up with my old University friends. I managed to do this without touching a drop of alcohol and adhering to my current phase’s eating plan – for me this was a significant achievement write an assignment for me and I am proud of myself for staying on track. I flew into London and made my way to my parents house for a few hours sleep before braving the wind and rain to play 18 holes with my dad, brother Joe and best friend – I had a great time with lots of laughs and banter. Having lived abroad in various countries over the past 5 years trust me when I say that it is the small things in life that matter. I miss my friends and family and whenever I am home I try to cram as much in as I can.
On Monday I drove up to York and started a course on qualifying to join the International Register of Certificated Auditors. I was staying buy essay in a nice hotel for the week which meant that it was easy for me to stay on track for training and eating as the hotel had a gym and the chef was willing to make changes to any dish I ordered to fit in with my plan. Although I was on a course for 10 hours a day it was nice to have some down time and rest, the last 3 months have been a fantastic growing experience and I have loved making this dedicated change to my lifestyle but to be successful in anything you have to put time, effort and hard work in. Nothing comes easy but the hard work in itself is the reward and the results you see are all worth it. You can create your vision and be the person you want to be. All it takes is a decision. A decision to go after and achieve what it is that you want.
After sitting my exam on Friday morning I raced up the A1 to spend a few hours with my Grandad in Newcastle. I have spoken about him before as being an inspiration professional essay writing services to me on how to live a long life, the man is incredible – he was telling me how he had done an hour on his rowing machine before I turned up to surprise him, he is 89! He has always eaten healthily and exercised which shows that you can live a long and healthy life if you make the right decisions and choices to do so. He made a comment to me about the weight I had
lost and told me to keep going which was a great motivator, I want him to remember me for the right reasons and not the wrong ones.
