Day 220 – 224 – New Personal BestFebruary 4th, 2014 by David
It feels as though that all I have done for the last few weeks is whine on about my hip and struggle to maintain pace with my training schedule. Sometimes I forget just how far I have come in such a short period of time and that my body is not used to the stress and pressure that I am putting on it. Leading up to my planned 12 miler I made sure that I focused on non-load baring exercise in order to reduce the risk of injuring myself further. By the time Saturday came, I was faced with my furthest run yet which was 50% longer than my previous, my hip was still not 100% but I was determined to try it out. My gym shuts at 3pm on a Saturday and I was running late so I knew that I wouldn’t have time to push myself for the full 12 canadian pharmacy xanax miles which was a blessing in disguise really as I focused on getting back into running rather than putting pressure on myself to complete the full distance.
I spent half an hour in the cross fit room stretching as per my normal routine and then headed to the treadmill area. I was apprehensive to start and decided to concentrate on walking, after 5 minutes I was starting to feel a bit looser so I pushed the speed into a cialis problems gentle jog. I was feeling ok and pushed the speed up again once more, I was in a good rhythm and was starting to cover some distance. I had to keep my confidence in check though as I was starting to become really concerned that my hip would pull on me. I slowed down back to a gentle jog and continued on to 9.2 miles until I was kicked out of the gym. I was happy and disappointed at the same time, happy because I had covered a considerable distance but disappointed because I
hadn’t completed 12 miles in one go. I made the decision to get a shower and walk the additional mileage in the snow so that I could prove to myself that I could cover the 12 miles. What I hadn’t banked on was the severity of the cold, it was -18C and walking through the snow cialis and bph was brutal. I was really starting to flag walking up the long hill to my apartment so I thought I would stop for a gel and some water…both were frozen solid, I’m not kidding you! In the freezing cold, walking uphill without water or food was a real challenge and for the first time I really wanted to give up but I told myself to remain focused and began imagining the finishing line in April which spurred me on. I ended up completing nearly 13 miles which shows that I can make it half way, it may not be at a great speed but I will complete the marathon even if I have to crawl!
