Day 132 – 133 – Presentation & Suits

November 4th, 2013 by

I have a really big and important presentation on Monday morning with my client the US Defense Threat Reduction Agency. My preparation started last week and continued over the weekend but on Sunday night I decided to pick out a suit, shirt and tie combo. I tried on my first suit which I knew was the largest I had in the wardrobe and it was huge on me I looked like a child wearing their dad’s clothes! I tried on another smaller suit, again far too big. I tried on another smaller and that was still too big. I ended up trying all of the suits on in my wardrobe and not one of them fit me. This meant I had to settle for a pair of trousers on their own, not 100% professional but I could get away with it. I then tried on my white shirts, two were far too big but I managed to get away with my other two however they were baggy on me but I could just about get away with them. It is a great feeling to try on clothes that drown you that only a few months back were too tight for me and I had to squeeze into them. One pair of the suit trousers were ripped on the backside where I had bent over and the trousers couldn’t contain my mass! As an extra motivation I tried on the new wardrobe of clothes that I brought on my trip to America, I still can’t get into them but I am a lot closer than I was. I’m hoping that by the time I go home at Christmas that I will fit into them! That would be a great feeling and give me the added boost to push on with my training and run the marathon. It is the little things that give you the big boosts!
